Testimonials
"I am a hard worker and a big nerd, thus my schedule is completely packed with homework and other academic stresses. Although it may seem as if several dance classes a week would simply increase my level of stress, they actually provide more of a refuge. I genuinely love to dance, and everyone at CSD makes every class, rehearsal, competition, and recital an even better experience. My teachers are excellent choreographers, always encourage me to do my best, and are helpful when addressed with any questions or concerns. My team is composed of exceptional, yet humble dancers, each of whom possesses sincere integrity and a great sense of humor. Every piece of choreography and every experience that come from CSD is the best imaginable, and I would recommend it to anyone."

"CSD helped mold me into the woman that I am today. The passion and the discipline that I gained through those 12 years will be with me through the rest of my life, in everything that I do. I practically lived at the studio during high school, but I would not have had it any other way. Cheryl was a great choreographer, mentor, and friend and I learned so much from her. One of my favorite things to do when I come back home to Carlsbad now is to visit the studio. I love watching the classes, they are filled with very talented dancers who are so eager to learn. This eagerness and desire to learn more is all because of the passion that the choreographers themselves have for dancing and for each of these girls and boys. CSD helps you discover who you truly are, it helped me and I am so thankful that I was a part of this family. Cheryl, thank you for all the hard work you have done to make your dream come true, because in that, many other dreams became possible."

December's Student of the Month
Haylee Harper has been at CSD for 3 years. When she first decided to take hip-hop, she was only doing it for fun. Haylee says, "I soon fell in love with the physical and emotional expression I discovered in dance and decided to try-out for the Intensive hip-hop team. Because this is her last year, she really wanted to experience dance and learn as much as she could. So in addition to Bambaataa, she took on Jazz & Ballroom this year.
One of her favorite dance memories is from last year's Pulse. The first day of the convention she was so frustrated because I couldn't get a hold on some choreography being taught by Shane Sparks. Haylee said, "I told myself I wasn't going to let that happen again and I worked extremely hard to get the choreography. I was exuberant when I was able to do it!"
Haylee has been an extremely hard working and dedicated student at CSD! The faculty adores her!

Throughout her years of studying dance, she has been able to attend conventions such as The Pulse, Tremaine and Showstopper. She has also competed at numerous regional competitions. Candice says, "I am looking forward to starting the next chapter in my life, but I am also going to miss this studio, the people in it and the memories so much!"
The CSD faculty appreciates Candice's hard work throughout the year's and her great example of strong character!
